A completed Horizon Europe project on "data as a product" value networks for resilient European manufacturing.
RE4DY, in full “European Data as a PRoduct Value Ecosystems for Resilient Factory 4.0 Product and ProDuction ContinuitY and Sustainability”, was a Horizon Europe manufacturing project that ran from June 2022 to September 2025, coordinated by the Spanish technology association Innovalia with a total budget of €9.5 million.
The project treated industrial data as a product in its own right, building “data as a product” digital value networks so that European manufacturers could share, combine and trust production data across company boundaries, using AI and digital twins to make supply chains more resilient and more sustainable. The Industry Commons Foundation was a partner, building IP tracking systems and managing the industrial agreements that let competing companies collaborate on shared data.
RE4DY’s consortium and methods fed directly into the far larger euroFMX programme that followed it.
