LUMEN

2025–2027 ongoing EOSC Innovation Centre lead; Inside EOSC host with Industry Commons Foundation, CNRS

A Horizon Europe project extending federated research discovery across disciplines within the European Open Science Cloud, and the home of the Inside EOSC podcast.

LUMEN, the Linked User-driven Multidisciplinary Exploration Network, is a Horizon Europe project running from January 2025 to December 2027, coordinated by the French national research organisation CNRS with nineteen participants and an EU contribution of €7 million. It extends the GoTriple discovery platform beyond the social sciences and humanities into mathematics, earth system sciences and molecular dynamics, building federated, interoperable discovery platforms with AI-powered tools inside the European Open Science Cloud ecosystem.

The Industry Commons Foundation leads two strands of the project. The first is the development of an EOSC Innovation Centre: a lasting mechanism, built on the Innovation Prototyping Lab methodology, for carrying research infrastructure work into innovation and industry. The second is the project’s public voice, the monthly Inside EOSC podcast, which Dubber hosts and produces, talking with the people building the European Open Science Cloud. In July 2026 the EOSC Innovation Centre was presented to the community of EOSC-funded projects in Brussels.
